Danny Baker

Managing Partner

Danny grew up in Oklahoma where he started a career in retail management. After proving he had a “knack” for building teams and running stores, he had the opportunity to travel all over the country managing various retail locations in need of leadership. During his travels, Danny met his wife Jennifer and they moved to Lubbock, where he would assume the GM role for a local furniture outfit. In 2007, Danny and Jennifer welcomed their daughter, McKenzie to the world, and he needed a career that could accommodate their new demanding lifestyle.

Danny was drawn to New York Life primarily for the long-term prospect of a management career path with a Fortune 100 Company. He decided to join New York Life in 2010, where he served as an agent for 2 years. He enjoyed working in the business marketplace, helping him achieve 2 Executive Councils while producing over 100 cases each year in the business.

In 2012, he was recognized for his commitment to his clients as a top case rate leader in the country. In January 2026, Danny was promoted to Managing Partner of the West Texas General Office, a milestone that reflects not just his success, but his reputation as a builder of people, teams, and opportunity. As he steps into this new role, Danny brings with him the same drive, heart, and leadership that have shaped every chapter of his career.
